The Okura Bush walkway is a superb walk just north of Auckland on the other side of the estuary from Long Bay. Very easy to find, get off the motorway at Oteha Valley Rd, go to top of hill, turn left and head up East Coast Bay Rd for 8kms or so and turn right into Haighs Access Rd.
A easy 9.6km return walk on a very nice track if you go all the way to Dacre Cottage. Effectively you go up one side of a hill and down the other to the beach. At the end of the walk you are blessed with this gorgeous view of Karepiro Bay.
Two thirds of the way up the walk you can take the low tide option and walk along the estuary, if as you probably guessed, it is low tide.
For this walk I brought my Leica Monochrom with VC15 4.5 AND THE Sony RX-1 and MeFoto orange tripod. A superb kit for hiking. Is very easy to tell which photos come from which camera.
On the way along East Coast Bay Rd I had to stop to get the little RX-1 out for this shot, fog, dew and a gorgeous sunrise.
And to finish a few more from the morning hike.
