Summer this year is a little late arriving, so Saturday wasn’t a golf day, but there was a window of possible sunshine in the morning, so K and I headed out to Whatipu. She had never been there and it is on of my favourite places in Auckland.
Was an unusual day with the weather coming from the east, while we were effectively at Auckland’s western most point. Weather above coming from camera left.
No matter the pending weather, there is never a shortage of asian fishermen. You can see rods lined up on right.
Footsteps here were from a guy struggling down the beach with at least 5 surf casting rods.
And again.
At this point K saw the weather coming and headed for the car. Whatipu is gorgeous place. One of the best West Auckland beaches in my mind. Superb photographically. Will be back over summer when there is hopefully a little sun.
