Last week I was in Sydney for a couple of days and one night in Broadbeach, Gold Coast.
The weather wasn’t great in Sydney but managed to click of a few shots in between meetings. There a few cameras that are better suited to winter conditions in my mind, better than the Leica Monochrom M!
With the Voigtlander 15 + Orange filter for drama, walking city streets in the rain and cold is a pleasure.
Had an early call to make in Alexandria, and after a superb breakfast in Allpress Espresso’s Sydney HQ, I arrived early for my 9:30am appointment, so decided to have another coffee at The Grounds, Alexandria. They had a $10 minimum charge to use a credit card, I had no cash and the girl behind the counter gave me the coffee for free. I was a little embarrassed but also greatly impressed with the offer, and the coffee.
After my 9:30am appointment finished I had a gap, so jumped a train and to Central Train Station and decided to walk from there down to Circular Quay. Half way down George Street I realised I hadn’t been to Max Brenner so called in there for a Italian thick hot chocolate.
Not much chance to shoot anything the next day but had a hour or so before breakfast in Gold Coast the following day. Stayed at the Casino so went for a walk to Broadbeach.
Gidon and I got quite a bit of work done of the 3 days I was in Aussie. A few OK shots, the Leica Monochrom + 15mm was again the star of the show.
Superb series of photos.
